Contemporary abstract figures and shapes in stone - marble, alabaster, limestone, soapstone, have been the main focus of her work. Her earlier work was mostly abstract, yet her more recent focus has been figurative abstract, such as a series called "Le Jardin des Femmes" (Female Garden). These female figures extract various inner, often sensual, emotions translated into stone.
Another series, "Urban Rush," are one-of-a-kind female figures cast in bronze. Along with these seemingly feminine works, Alice has created a series of "Warriors", masculine-looking figures and masks in stone intended to be protectors of the home.
Her latest works are "People Series" - male and female figures in marble and bronze reflecting various stages of the life cycle.
Alice participated in numerous juried art exhibitions and is a recipient of several awards in sculpture. Her work has been highlighted in several art magazines and on-line publications. She frequently exhibits in group, 2-person, and solo shows in Ohio, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Her work has been purchased for public acquisition and commissioned. Her sculptures are in private collections in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Alice is represented by 1Point 618 Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio www.1point618gallery.com, Malton Gallery, Cincinnati, Ohio www.maltonartgallery, and Aaron Gallery in Washington, D.C. www.aarongallerydc.com.
